چکیده
With the consideration of uneven traffic volume distribution at intersections on urban arterials, this paper aims to minimize overall passenger delay (buses and private vehicles) identify applicable conditions proposed method with field data. The overlapping phase-based signal control logic bus priority algorithm under two-way coordination arterial roads are proposed. vehicular capacities occupancies for buses cars considered in evaluation performance. A test was carried out two major an road Hefei, China. data, is examined possible influencing factors analyzed identifying corresponding conditions. analysis result shows that application phase helps provide a relatively flexible varying demands intersections. Compared conventional phase, it isof more practical significance consider apply bussignal according condition volumedistribution arterials. can effectively decrease total arterials certain applicability identified as well. It verified coordination, based phases, conducive improving efficiency Regarding method, results show not all situations decreasing should be applied principles order efficiently improve roads.

Optimal Signal Control in Urban Road Networks with High Priority Congested Centers
Keeping the density of traffic flow and air pollution in an acceptable level and developing a good capacity for transit in the high priority areas of the city, is really a big deal in large and crowded cities. To address this problem, a new method of intersection signal optimization is presented in this paper. Based on network fundamental diagrams, an Internal–External Traffic Metering Strategy...

The adaptive traffic signal control system, as well as the Transit Signal Priority (TSP) concept has both been viewed as important opportunities for reducing overall traffic congestions and improving bus transit services. However, few studies were conducted on combining them together. A dynamic signal timing optimization model was developed in this research, which aims at reallocating green tim...
